    How much rackspace can I rent from Webjogger?

    As much as you like. We can accommodate servers as small as one rack unit to entire networks spanning multiple cabinets. Our convenient raised flooring allows for easy cable deployment and management. Please click here for our current rates.

    What kind of equipment can I collocate with Webjogger?

    You can collocate any kind of equipment with us that you like: routers, switches, firewalls, servers, you name it!

    Does my equipment need to be rack-mountable?

    No. If your equipment is not rack-mountable, Webjogger will supply a shelf by which it may be installed in our rack. Items which are rack-mountable should fit right in to our standard 19” 4-post rack enclosures.

    Does Webjogger provide any security to my equipment?

    Yes. Webjogger protects all of its customers from intrusion from the Internet via state-of-the-art Cisco PIX firewalls located at its perimeter. It addition, all collocation customers are assigned their own unique subnet and VLAN, which further protects them from undesired broadcast traffic. Finally, Webjogger prevents traffic destined for the ports most commonly used by viruses and hackers from ever reaching your equipment.

    Do I need my own UPS?

    No, your equipment can plug directly into Webjogger’s power grid, which is serviced by a 4.3KVA UPS and additionally sustained by a backup power generator in case of long-term outages.

    Do I need to bring my own Ethernet cables?

    Webjogger will extend Ethernet cabling between your equipment and your dedicated 10/100 Webjogger switchport. Additional cabling and associated cable management is the customer’s responsibility.

    What if I need more than one dedicated switchport?

    Webjogger will charge you an additional fee if you need to connect to more than one of our 10/100 switchports. However, you could consider deploying your own switch and aggregating your connections into a single uplink to Webjogger’s network. For more information, please contact us.

    Can I obtain more than one static IP address for my equipment?

    Yes, additional IP addresses are available by request on an as-needed basis.

    Does Webjogger limit my bandwidth? How does Webjogger measure how much bandwidth I use?

    Webjogger employs traffic shaping on its network to guarantee each of its customers an optimal level of service at all times. Beyond this, it does not limit the bandwidth available to your equipment in any way. Bandwidth utilization (total GB sent to and received by your equipment) is measured on a monthly basis and refers only to the traffic passed to and from the Internet. Traffic which stays local to the Webjogger network is not considered in the calculation.

    Does Webjogger insure my equipment against fire or theft?

    You are required to provide all necessary insurance coverage for any equipment which you collocate with Webjogger. We also request, but do not require, that you list Webjogger as an additional insured on your policy.

    Can I set up a bulk email service through Webjogger?

    Webjogger strictly prohibits the use of its services for sending unsolicited email to multiple persons, a practice also known as spamming.

    Can my equipment make use of Webjogger’s outgoing mail server, or do I need to run my own?

    If your SMTP traffic is low-volume, yes, you are welcome to make use of Webjogger’s outgoing mail server rather than set up your own.

    Can I host my own DNS?

    Absolutely. We would be happy to delegate forward or reverse lookup to you for your subnet.

    Can Webjogger provide my equipment with one or more inbound or outbound telephone lines?

    Yes. Webjogger can run any quantity of telephone lines to your server, either in analog or digital form. You will be responsible for obtaining service on the lines from the local telephone company and for paying the phone company’s associated monthly fees.

    Can I work on my equipment on-site?

    Yes. Webjogger can supply you with a monitor, keyboard, and desk in the event you need to administer your equipment on-site. Some additional restrictions may apply. Please see our Terms of Service for details.

    Can Webjogger administer my equipment for me?

    Yes. Webjogger is available to perform routine functions like rebooting your equipment for you, checking to see if LEDs are lit, etc. (within reason) at no additional charge. Additional managed services may be available upon request for an additional fee. Please contact us for details.

    Can Webjogger backup my data for me?

    Yes. Webjogger can backup your OS and data to tape with any periodicity you like – daily, weekly, monthly, etc. However, this service will incur an additional charge. For details, please contact us.
