- Dedicated Accounts allow you a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-per-week
connection to the internet. These accounts do NOT have the
active usage requirement that the Unlimited Account has.
- With the Reserved Modem Account, Webjogger reserves a
phone line and a modem (in our modem pool) for you to connect
to, at all times.
|
Please note the important differentiation between Unlimited
and Dedicated Access Accounts:
As stated in our Terms of Service, our
Unlimited Access Account is non-metered, and allows active usage
for an unlimited time.
Those valued clients who require near continual
connectivity to the Internet, or who need to maintain a pattern
of very frequent automated e-mail checks, must necessarily opt for
our Dedicated Access Account.
In exchange for the higher cost of their
subscription rates, we will arrange for phone lines to be especially
available at all times to them.
Webjogger believes that by enforcing this
policy, it can prevent a relatively small number of customers from
dominating a necessarily limited number of available modems and
can thus provide easy, busy-free service to all of its users.
Most customers justifiably insist on easy
dial-up access, with a minimum of busy signals, even during "peak"
hours, and we consider that delivering this is the ISP's primary
obligation.
We will do our best to enforce this as a
workable policy for our users, and to thus ensure Webjogger’s
continued excellence as the Mid-Hudson Valley’s premier Internet
Service Provider.
